Give Them A Goat This Year
The person you are shopping for this holiday will most likely receive multiple gifts so you must find them a truly unique present that stands apart from the rest. Something they will remember year after year… what about a goat?
Just in time for Christmas the 2011 CityTeam Holiday Gift Catalog has been released and it provides some very special gifts from stocking stuffers to the big-ticket items that are in high demand. We’ve got goats, seeds, food, shelter, toys and other meaningful items that will change lives!
This is not just speculation of what could happen, we have actually tested each of these gifts here at CityTeam Ministries and I can tell you for a fact they really do change lives here in the United States and around the world.
By purchasing one of the life-changing gifts from our gift catalog in honor of a friend or family member this holiday you will bring hope to individual or family who are living in poverty.
Check out all our gifts today! We have taken care of all the details for you - right down to the festive card we designed that tells your loved one about the gift you chose especially for them and how it will bring hope to those in need.
What could be better then knowing you have met a true need this holiday and given a gift that will be remembered for years to come?
Join me in giving hope this holiday.

One Week Till Thanksgiving
Pumpkin lattes are being enjoyed at coffee shops around the country, but the individuals and families we serve are just trying to find a way to get some turkey in time for Thanksgiving. Week after week they are stretching their meager resources just to put at least a little food on the table and struggle daily with feelings of failure.
Our staff here at CityTeam is doing everything we can to make sure we have a turkey for each low income family that comes to us for help next week and have enough food to serve our annual turkey dinner for our poor and homeless guests who are living on the streets. Our goal is to meet their physical need of hunger as the first step in building a relationship where we can also meet their emotional and spiritual needs.

For years now I have had the privilege of serving at our Thanksgiving distribution and every year my heart is touched by the impact this event has on those who are facing poverty. Children’s faces light up when they realize they get a whole plate of food just for themselves and the adults can hardly believe that there are smiling volunteers ready to serve them a meal. For the first time in quite a while they can just sit down and enjoy a hot meal in a safe place.
Right now we are still in need of thousands of turkeys - join me this Thanksgiving by dropping off a turkey at one of our CityTeam locations and help bless those in need.
It may be just a turkey to you, but it will mean so much more to the family who can celebrate Thanksgiving this year because you gave.

Celebrating Heritage Home
Back in late September, Heritage Home had their Gala in support of their program for homeless and abused women who are pregnant. At the event, this video was featured.
Alyssa, the woman in the video, came up on stage after the video had finished. Holding up her five month-old daughter, Alyssa was able to introduce Charlie Grace to everyone, and through tears of joy, Alyssa gave her personal thanks for their support. Of all the moments during that evening, I believe that moment was the most impacting to me, and I was so glad to be a part of seeing two lives saved through Heritage Home.
However, because the video only shows Alyssa pregnant, I went back to film her again to introduce her daughter to everyone.
I actually filmed this bit before the Gala event. I was hoping to add it to the end of the first video, but it didn’t fit the tone. Also, the impact of Alyssa introducing Charlie on stage at the Gala would have been lost if everyone had already seen Charlie in the video moments before.
Nevertheless, I didn’t want the follow-up interview to sit in archives never to be used, so I quickly threw it together and uploaded it to YouTube. It is a wonderful video that portrays hope, love, and thankfulness to God from a mother who, at one point, wanted her life to end.
